Just a quick one today!
Last week Payton came storming into the kitchen in a snit. She screeches to a halt in front of me and with hands on her hips lets out an exasperated sigh. "Mom, if you has just made the doctor pull ME out first, I would be BIG!!" She then related the injustices that were occurring in the back yard right under my nose, the biggest and most offensive being size discrimination! Imagine!
I laughed, which didn't help, but then pulled her into my arms and savored her smallness. I then told her that before she knew it she would be big and able to do all sorts of amazing things. (though I fervently wish that wasn't so :( )
Oh, the irony that my teeniest tot would be the one that so desperately wants to do big things!!
(Brooklyn, on the other hand, wishes to have all things done for her!)
